YourEra Review: Is It Legit?
YourEra review: compounded semaglutide $89 and tirzepatide $129 a month, month to month, its own pharmacy, FDA warning letters and refund terms.
- No FDA warning letter
- Names its pharmacy
- LegitScript certified
- Prices checked Oct 26, 2026
YourEra is a Louisiana telehealth platform that prescribes compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide and fills many orders at a pharmacy it manages. It suits you if you want a low month-to-month price, no membership and plain refund terms.
We rate it 9 out of 10, tier Excellent. Every fee is stated at zero, the pharmacies are named, it is LegitScript certified, and you can cancel online at any time.
The catch is that both prices rest on a discount. Semaglutide is $89 and tirzepatide $129 a month, month to month, after a 20% discount YourEra calls "Fall pricing". Before it, they are $111.25 and $161.25.
No FDA warning letter is on file for YourEra in the FDA’s published warning-letter list as of Oct 26, 2026.

What is YourEra?
YourEra is run by Your Era Management, L.L.C., based in Covington, Louisiana. It says it is "not a medical practice". It runs the platform, billing and shipping. The care comes from Thryv Telehealth by Lavin, P.C., a medical practice in Mandeville, Louisiana.
Here is how it goes. You take a 2-minute quiz. A clinician reviews it within a day, usually without a live call. If you are prescribed, a licensed pharmacy ships the drug to your door in 1 to 2 days.
YourEra sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide as weekly injections, low-dose microdosing plans, NAD+ and sermorelin. There is no brand-name pen such as Wegovy or Zepbound. GLP-1 tablets are listed as coming soon, with no drug named. To read about the drugs themselves, see our pages on compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide.
Is YourEra legit?
Yes. YourEra names its company, its medical practice and its pharmacies, states every fee, is LegitScript certified, and has no FDA warning letter. Two gaps: no clinician is named on the site, and there are no independent patient reviews to read yet.
The doctor behind the practice is easy to find, though not on the site. The practice carries the name of Dr. Thomas Lavin, M.D., a Louisiana surgeon listed in the federal NPI registry. The site's video series is "Everything GLP-1 with Dr. Tom Lavin." YourEra says its clinician network is licensed in all 50 states, but it names no other clinician.
The pharmacies are named, which most programs skip. The terms list three: Galleria Medical Pharmacy in Metairie, Louisiana, MediVera Compounding Pharmacy in Troy, Michigan, and VialsRx. Galleria is an affiliate that YourEra manages. Which one fills your order depends on your drug and your state. YourEra does not say whether they are 503A or 503B pharmacies.
YourEra is LegitScript certified. LegitScript lists yourera.com as a certified pharmacy and telemedicine site, which means it reviewed the business and monitors it.
How much does YourEra cost?
Compounded semaglutide costs $89 a month and compounded tirzepatide $129 a month, both month to month. The home page shows the same prices, "Semaglutide GLP-1 $89 /mo" and "Tirzepatide GLP-1/GIP $129 /mo". YourEra shows no 3-, 6- or 12-month plan on its site. Its FAQ says: "Your plan is month-to-month. You can cancel anytime before your next renewal from your patient portal."
Both prices are after a 20% discount: "20% off every order, auto-applied at checkout". You do not need a code. The page calls it "Fall pricing" and gives no end date. Before the discount, semaglutide is $111.25 and tirzepatide $161.25 a month. YourEra says your price stays $89 or $129 "for as long as your membership stays active", and adds: "This pricing is for new patients."
The fees are simple. There is no membership fee, the price is the same at every dose, and shipping is free. The visit and the prescription are included. YourEra does not take insurance, but you can pay with HSA or FSA funds.
Across the 20 compounded programs we track, the median month-to-month price is $168 a month. YourEra's $89 for semaglutide and $129 for tirzepatide are both below it.
For scale, a pharmacy pays $871.12 for a Wegovy 1.7 mg pen package, effective September 23, 2026. That is an acquisition cost, not what a patient pays.

How does YourEra work?
The care is online and mostly in writing. A clinician reviews your quiz and your history, in most cases without speaking to you first. You get a live video or phone visit if your state requires one, if you ask, or if the clinician wants one, and it is free.
You are charged only if a clinician prescribes. After that, you message your care team as often as you like. YourEra promises scheduled check-ins, side-effect support and dose changes, but gives no check-in schedule. It does not say whether you need labs.
The wait is short. The review takes up to a day, and delivery takes 1 to 2 days. Some deliveries need an adult signature, and YourEra does not ship to PO boxes.
Is YourEra safe? FDA status and warning letters
YourEra has no FDA warning letter, and neither do its medical practice or its own pharmacy, Galleria. Nothing is open against it.
One of its three named pharmacies has history. MediVera's parent, Diversified Pharmacy, got an FDA warning letter in February 2016. The FDA closed it out in September 2018. That letter is closed, so it does not count against the score.
The bigger question with any compounded program is the drug itself. Compounded GLP-1s are prepared by a pharmacy to a prescription. They are not FDA-approved: the FDA doesn't review their safety, effectiveness or quality before they're sold, and they are not the same as Wegovy or Zepbound. Formulas can differ from one pharmacy to the next, and some add ingredients such as vitamin B12. Compounding pharmacies are licensed and inspected by state boards of pharmacy; outsourcing facilities (503B) also register with the FDA and are inspected by it. The FDA can issue warning letters when either breaks rules on safety or sterility. YourEra says this plainly: its drugs "are not the same as" the brand-name pens and have not been approved by the FDA.
Two privacy points are worth knowing. YourEra says HIPAA does not apply to it, because patients pay directly. It also shares order data with advertisers by default, except in a few states. Safety scores 10 out of 10: no open letter, no flag and a LegitScript certification.
How to cancel YourEra
You can cancel at any time online. Plans renew on their own, and YourEra does not ask you to approve each refill charge.
The refund rule is simple. You get your money back in full if you cancel before your order ships. Once it ships, you do not. Damaged, wrong or missing orders are the exception.
YourEra sells no prepaid plan. It says: "Your plan is month-to-month. You can cancel anytime before your next renewal from your patient portal." The refund rule above still applies: an order that has been dispatched is not refunded. If you have side effects, talk to your provider.
Disputes go to private arbitration under Louisiana law, but you can opt out in writing within 30 days.

What customers say about YourEra
YourEra shows a 4.8 out of 5 rating on its site, but it does not say where the reviews come from. We found no YourEra page on Trustpilot or the Better Business Bureau, and no patient threads on Reddit.
Its weight-loss figures, such as an average loss of 13.6%, are self-reported by members, with no sample size given. The before-and-after photos are marketing, not results you can expect.
This site collects no independent reviews of its own yet. YourEra is a young program, so there is little patient feedback anywhere. Before you sign up, read the price, the refund rule and the cancel terms above. If you have side effects, talk to your provider.
How we scored YourEra
Our score combines seven checks. Each one counts for a fixed share of the total, listed below. Commission is not an input.
- Price transparency: 9.14/10 (counts for 20% of the total score). Every fee is stated at zero, but the $89 and $129 are a 20% discount on list prices of $111.25 and $161.25.
- Cost and value: 10/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). Rank 3 of 21 compounded programs on month-to-month price, at $89, with no fee load.
- Medication and pharmacy traceability: 7.6/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). Three pharmacies named, but no pharmacy type stated and none in the FDA's outsourcing register.
- Clinical access and oversight: 7.2/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). A described clinician network, messaging and wait, but no lab policy and no follow-up schedule.
- Safety and enforcement: 10/10 (counts for 20% of the total score). No letter against YourEra or its own pharmacy, a 2016 letter at MediVera that the FDA closed out, and a LegitScript certification.
- Terms, commitment and refunds: 10/10 (counts for 10% of the total score). Cancel anytime online and a stated refund rule.
- Availability and fulfillment: 10/10 (counts for 5% of the total score). 50 states, free shipping and a stated delivery time.
We first scored YourEra on October 12, at 8.9, on the prices in our record then. On October 22 the site listed lower month-to-month prices, $89 and $129, and no multi-month plan, and we rescored it on those: cost and value rose from 8 to 10, price transparency fell from 10 to 9.14, and the total rose to 9. The 20% discount counts as the standing price because YourEra says the price holds "for as long as your membership stays active"; if that changes, the score will change. The method is on our methodology page.
