VivioMD Review: Is It Legit?

VivioMD review: compounded semaglutide from $249 a month, tirzepatide from $339, its open FDA warning letter, pharmacies, refund terms and complaints.

Last updated Oct 24, 2026
Quick answer

VivioMD is an online GLP-1 program that prescribes both brand-name and compounded medication: compounded semaglutide, compounded tirzepatide, Ozempic and Zepbound. Plans start at $199 a month on a 6-month plan, $1,194 up front, or $249 month to month. We rate it 7.4/10 (Good). It names the pharmacies that fill its prescriptions: RedRock Pharmacy, Health Warehouse and Triad Rx. It ships to 49 states. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. VivioMD has an FDA warning letter on file, so we do not recommend it.

  • 1 FDA warning letter

  • Prices checked Oct 24, 2026

VivioMD is an online weight-loss program that sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, as weekly injections or dissolving tablets, and the brand-name Ozempic and Zepbound pens. It suits someone who wants one price at every dose and a choice of shots or tablets.

The price is high for compounded drugs. Month to month, compounded semaglutide costs $249 and compounded tirzepatide $339, with $100 off the first month. A 6-month plan brings them to $199 and $289 a month, paid for the six months.

We rate it 7.4 out of 10, tier Good. It names its medical group and its pharmacies and charges no membership fee, but its pages quote different prices from its checkout, and it has an open FDA warning letter.

The catch is the FDA record. VivioMD has an open FDA warning letter dated June 8, 2026, about vial images labeled "VivioMD" on its site, and those images are still there. The safety section explains it. While the letter stands, we do not link to VivioMD.

What is VivioMD?

VivioMD is run by VivioMD Group LLC, which gives an address in Lewes, Delaware. It is a platform, not a medical practice. The care comes from "US-licensed clinicians from OpenLoop Healthcare Partners P.C. and its affiliated professional entities", a network of medical groups. The site names no individual clinician.

Here is how it goes. You answer a medical questionnaire online. A licensed provider reviews it and decides whether a GLP-1 fits you; VivioMD says the review is the same day when you qualify. If you are prescribed, the pharmacy ships the medication in 48 to 72 hours, in discreet packaging.

VivioMD sells compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide, each as a weekly injection or as a dissolving tablet. Its pages call semaglutide "GLP-1" and tirzepatide "GLP-1+GIP". It also sells Ozempic and Zepbound pens. Ozempic is FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes, not for weight loss, and VivioMD's own footer says so. Compounded GLP-1s are prepared by a pharmacy to a prescription, and they are not FDA-approved; the safety section explains what that means. To read about the drugs themselves, see our pages on compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide.

Does VivioMD offer GLP‑1 pills?

Yes. VivioMD sells compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide as tablets that dissolve, at $279 and $339 a month. They are compounded, not the brand-name Wegovy pill, and they are not FDA-approved.

Is VivioMD legit?

VivioMD has an open FDA warning letter dated June 8, 2026, about images on its website. It names its medical group and its three pharmacies, which most programs skip.

The letter is narrow. The FDA reviewed viviomd.com in March 2026. It objected that the site showed compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide with "VivioMD" on the pictured label, "suggesting VivioMD is the compounder of those drugs when in fact it is not." The letter names no safety, sterility or quality finding.

The images are still up. On October 24, 2026, VivioMD's home page showed the same vials and tablet bottle labeled "vivioMD" as the archived page from March 17, 2026. Some of its landing pages show a labeled box and pen as well. VivioMD has added a footer that says the photos are "for illustration only" and that "VivioMD is not a pharmacy or a manufacturer of any medication." The FDA has posted no response from VivioMD and no close-out.

The terms name the pharmacies, with their addresses: RedRock Pharmacy in St. George, Utah, and Triad Rx in Daphne, Alabama, which compound, and Health Warehouse in Florence, Kentucky, a retail pharmacy. The intake describes its compounding pharmacies as 503A, the kind licensed and inspected by a state board.

Some of its marketing goes beyond what it can show. Its landing pages say "Lose 10% of Your Body Weight — Guaranteed" for members who complete six months, and point to "Guarantee terms" that we could not find on the site. They also call the pharmacies "FDA-Regulated U.S. Pharmacies", while the terms list state-licensed pharmacies.

Compounded semaglutide injections cost $249 a month month to month, $657 for 3 months ($219 a month) or $1,194 for 6 months ($199 a month). Compounded tirzepatide injections cost $339 a month, $927 for 3 months ($309 a month) or $1,734 for 6 months ($289 a month).

The tablets cost a little more for semaglutide. Semaglutide tablets are $279 a month, $777 for 3 months or $1,434 for 6 months; tirzepatide tablets cost the same as the tirzepatide injections.

The brand-name pens are much more. Ozempic costs $1,399 a month and Zepbound $1,499 a month at checkout.

The checkout takes $100 off the first month of a monthly plan, Ozempic and Zepbound included. The price stays the same as the dose goes up, there is no membership or consult fee, and shipping is free. VivioMD does not take insurance; it accepts HSA and FSA payments.

The pages do not agree. The home page says compounded injections start at $299 a month, tirzepatide at $398 and Ozempic at $1,299, while the checkout charges $249, $339 and $1,399. One offer page says semaglutide is $179 for the first month, not $149. Check the total at checkout before you pay.

What to watch

Its month-to-month prices are among the highest for compounded GLP-1s, its pages quote different prices from its checkout, and the FDA sent it a warning letter in June 2026 about vial images that are still on its site.

How does VivioMD work?

The care is online. After the questionnaire, a clinician from VivioMD's medical group reviews your answers. The home page promises a "Live provider consult included with every plan". Depending on the case, the provider may decide telehealth is not right for you and refer you to in-person care.

After that, VivioMD says it offers 24/7 messaging with a care team, dose adjustments and regular check-ins. The price is the same at every dose.

On a 3- or 6-month plan, you pay for the whole term at checkout. The terms do not say whether a multi-month supply ships at once or in parts.

Is VivioMD safe? FDA status and warning letters

VivioMD has an open FDA warning letter to VivioMD Group LLC dba VivioMD, dated June 8, 2026. The FDA reviewed viviomd.com in March 2026. It wrote that the products pictured on the site carried "VivioMD" on the label, suggesting VivioMD makes the drugs, and that this misbrands them. The letter asked VivioMD to reply within 15 business days.

The letter has no close-out, and the images it describes are still on the site. While it stays open, we do not link to VivioMD and it does not appear in our rankings.

One of its pharmacies has an FDA record. Triad Rx, at the Daphne, Alabama address VivioMD lists, received an FDA warning letter on February 5, 2019, for making sterile drugs under insanitary conditions. The FDA closed out the letter on May 3, 2023.

On July 31, 2026, the FDA issued a Form 483, a list of inspection observations, to Red Rock Pharmacy's site in Springville, Utah. Its observations include how the pharmacy tested its sterile filling process while filling semaglutide and tirzepatide lots. VivioMD lists RedRock's St. George, Utah site and doesn't say which site fills its orders. Health Warehouse has no FDA action on the lists we check.

The bigger question with any compounded program is the drug itself. Compounded GLP-1s are prepared by a pharmacy to a prescription. They are not FDA-approved: the FDA doesn't review their safety, effectiveness or quality before they're sold, and they are not the same as Wegovy or Zepbound. Formulas can differ from one pharmacy to the next, and some add ingredients such as vitamin B12. Compounding pharmacies are licensed and inspected by state boards of pharmacy; outsourcing facilities (503B) also register with the FDA and are inspected by it. The FDA can issue warning letters when either breaks rules on safety or sterility. VivioMD's footer says its compounded drugs are not FDA-approved.

What the website claimed

The FDA says the company’s own marketing or labeling was misleading — for example a claim about safety, results or approval, or a label implying the company makes a drug a pharmacy compounds. This is about how the drug was presented, not about the medicine a patient received.

“The compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide products displayed on your website identify “VivioMD” on the pictured label, suggesting VivioMD is the compounder of those drugs when in fact it is not.”

What does an FDA letter mean?

A warning letter asks a company to fix something. It is not a recall, it does not suspend a license, and it is the FDA’s position rather than a court’s finding.

How to cancel VivioMD

Cancellation
Cancel anytime
Money-back guarantee
A full refund if a clinician does not approve you, or if you cancel within 72 hours before receiving any service. A monthly charge is not refunded once the month has started. On a 3- or 6-month plan, months with no medication shipped are refunded.

You can cancel at any time by emailing support@viviomd.com or through the patient portal. The request has to arrive at least 72 hours before your next billing date; otherwise you are charged again and the cancellation starts the cycle after.

The refund rules are narrow. A monthly charge is not refunded once the month has started. You get a full refund if a provider does not approve you, or if you cancel within 72 hours and have received no service. On a plan charged for two or more months, VivioMD refunds the months for which no medication shipped. Medication that has shipped cannot be returned.

One more rule applies to discounts. If a discounted rate depends on staying a minimum time and you cancel early, the terms say the discount is lost and the months you had are recharged at full price. Ask how this applies to your plan before you buy a 3- or 6-month supply. If you have side effects, talk to your provider.

What customers say about VivioMD

VivioMD has a 2.9 TrustScore on Trustpilot from 4 reviews, all from the last 12 months. Three are one-star and one is five-star. The one-star reviews describe automatic charges, a portal that would not open, an order the reviewer did not expect, and calls and emails that went unanswered. The five-star review praises how easy it was and the price.

Four reviews are too few to judge a company by. We found no profile for VivioMD on the Better Business Bureau. The testimonials on VivioMD's own pages are marketing, not results you can expect. This site collects no independent reviews of its own yet.

How we scored VivioMD

Our score combines seven checks. Each one counts for a fixed share of the total, listed below. Commission is not an input.

  • Price transparency: 9.8/10 (counts for 20% of the total score). Every plan price is published at checkout, with no membership, consult or dose fee. Note that the home page shows higher prices than the checkout on every product, and the offer pages quote different first-month prices.
  • Cost and value: 4/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). We compare month-to-month prices: VivioMD's $249 for semaglutide ranks 12 of 16 programs that sell both compounded and brand-name drugs, against a median of $199.50. The 3- and 6-month prices are lower but are not in this comparison.
  • Medication and pharmacy traceability: 9/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). Three pharmacies named with their addresses, and each drug named on its card.
  • Clinical access and oversight: 7.2/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). A named medical group and a stated review time, but no clinician named.
  • Safety and enforcement: 5/10 (counts for 20% of the total score). An open FDA warning letter to VivioMD, and a 2019 letter to Triad Rx that the FDA has closed out. We take a further point off because the images the letter describes are still on the site, and because the landing pages promise a set weight loss.
  • Terms, commitment and refunds: 9.5/10 (counts for 10% of the total score). Cancel anytime and a written refund policy. We take points off for the 72-hour notice, the discount that is lost on early cancellation, and a guarantee with no published terms.
  • Availability and fulfillment: 9.9/10 (counts for 5% of the total score). 49 states, free shipping and a stated delivery time.

This is the first score for VivioMD. Confidence is medium: our October 24 price check matched the monthly prices on VivioMD's landing page, but its pages do not name tirzepatide, so those prices could only be read at checkout. Two of the seven checks carry an editor's adjustment, explained above; together they lower the total by 0.3. The method is on our methodology page.
