GobyMeds Review: Cost & Is It Legit?
GobyMeds (Goby Meds) review: compounded semaglutide from $169 a month, every 3-month price by dose, the four pharmacies it names, refunds and our 8.9 score.
- No FDA warning letter
- Names its pharmacy
- Prices checked Oct 24, 2026
GobyMeds, often written Goby Meds, is an online program that prescribes compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, and sells brand-name Zepbound and Wegovy at a cash price. It suits you if you want to pay per order, with no subscription and no membership fee.
Compounded semaglutide costs $169 for one month at any dose, or $299 for a 3-month supply at the lowest doses, which GobyMeds lists as $99 a month. Tirzepatide costs $299 for one month, or $399 for a low-dose 3-month supply, $133 a month. The consultation, the injection kit and cold-chain shipping are included, and nothing renews on its own.
We rate it 8.9 out of 10, tier Very good. It names its pharmacies and medical groups, it has no FDA warning letter on file, and its terms are short. But its 3-month prices rise with the dose, and its pricing page still shows discount prices for a code that ended in December 2025.
The catch is the dose. The $99 and $133 monthly prices cover the lowest doses. At the highest doses a 3-month supply costs $499 for semaglutide and $599 for tirzepatide.
No FDA warning letter is on file for GobyMeds in the FDA’s published warning-letter list as of Oct 24, 2026.

What is GobyMeds?
GobyMeds is run by Goby Health LLC, which gives a mailing address in Dover, Delaware. Its terms describe it as a "technology and administrative platform" that does not practice medicine or dispense medication. The care comes from two outside medical groups, "Beluga Health, P.C." and "CareValidate, Inc.", and the medication from independent pharmacies.

Here is how it goes. You answer a health questionnaire and upload a photo ID. A licensed U.S. provider reviews it, usually within a business day, and there is no video call unless your provider or your state requires one. If you are prescribed, the medication ships cold-packed and typically arrives in two to five business days.
GobyMeds sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide as weekly injections, Zepbound and Wegovy pens, NAD+, sermorelin, testosterone therapy and hair-loss treatments. To read about the drugs themselves, see our pages on compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide. Compounded GLP-1s are prepared by a pharmacy to a prescription, and they are not FDA-approved; the safety section explains what that means.
How much does GobyMeds cost?
Every GobyMeds order is a single payment for a 1-, 2- or 3-month supply. The 1- and 2-month supplies cost the same at any dose. The 3-month supplies are priced by your weekly dose, because higher doses use more medication.

Prices read on GobyMeds' semaglutide and tirzepatide product pages on October 24, 2026. Every plan includes the provider visit, follow-ups, the injection kit and cold-chain shipping. There is no membership fee, no consultation fee and no shipping fee.
A 3-month supply is paid in full and ships at once; the cancel section sets out what can be refunded.
GobyMeds' pricing page is harder to read. It still shows "JUMPSTART PROMO PRICE" figures for a code that its promotions page says ended on December 31, 2025, and some of those figures are higher than the plan price beside them. Go by the product pages, and check the total at checkout before you pay.
GobyMeds tirzepatide price
Compounded tirzepatide is $299 for one month or $399 for two, at any dose. On a 3-month supply the price follows the dose: $399 at 1.5 to 3 mg a week, $499 at 6 to 9 mg and $599 at 11 to 13.5 mg. The 3-month starter bundle for new patients is $399, with the dose rising from 1.5 to 9 mg.
Over a year, one-month orders of tirzepatide add up to $3,588. Four low-dose 3-month orders come to $1,596, and four high-dose ones to $2,396.
GobyMeds semaglutide price
Compounded semaglutide is $169 for one month or $299 for two, at any dose. On a 3-month supply: $299 at 0.2 to 0.4 mg a week, $399 at 0.6 to 1.9 mg and $499 at 1.9 to 2.3 mg. The starter bundle is $299, with the dose rising from 0.2 to 1.5 mg.
A dose of 1.9 mg sits in both the middle and the high tier on the product page, and GobyMeds' pricing page puts the middle tier at 0.6 to 1.5 mg. If your dose is close to 1.9 mg, ask which price applies before you pay.
Over a year, one-month orders of semaglutide add up to $2,028. Four low-dose 3-month orders come to $1,196, and four high-dose ones to $1,996.
Brand-name pens and insurance
Zepbound costs $1,399 a month and Wegovy $1,695 a month, both as pens with the consultation included. GobyMeds does not bill insurance, but it accepts HSA and FSA cards and can provide a letter of medical necessity on request.

Is GobyMeds legit?
Yes. GobyMeds has no FDA warning letter on file, and neither do the medical groups and pharmacies it names. It publishes a price for every plan, and its terms state the refund and cancellation rules. On Trustpilot it has a 4.5 TrustScore from about 1,260 reviews.
It names more than most programs. Its safety page lists four dispensing pharmacies: Precision Medicine, HealthWarehouse.com, The Pharmacy Hub and Seven Cells Pharmacy. It says your prescription goes to a "503A or 503B pharmacy partner, licensed in your state", but not which pharmacy is which type. It gives a phone number and a website for each pharmacy but no address.
Two gaps remain. No clinician is named on the site, and GobyMeds does not list the states it serves; its product pages say only that treatment is "not available in all states".
How does GobyMeds work?
The care is online and mostly in writing. A provider from Beluga Health or CareValidate reviews your answers and decides whether treatment is right for you; you may not be able to choose which. The plan price includes "unlimited follow-ups" with the provider and support from the care team by chat, text and email.
The medication comes from a multi-dose vial. Depending on the pharmacy, it may include vitamin B12, vitamin B6 or glycine, or come additive-free; your provider and the pharmacy confirm the formula.
Nothing renews. When a supply runs low, you place a new order and go through the clinical review again.
Is GobyMeds safe? FDA status and warning letters
GobyMeds has no FDA warning letter on file as of October 24, 2026. Neither do Goby Health LLC, Beluga Health, CareValidate or the four pharmacies it names. Nothing is open against it.
The pharmacies are named, but not located. GobyMeds gives no address for any of them, so we can't match them with confidence to the FDA's inspection records or its register of outsourcing facilities. None of the four appears in the warning letters we hold.
The bigger question with any compounded program is the drug itself. Compounded GLP-1s are prepared by a pharmacy to a prescription. They are not FDA-approved: the FDA doesn't review their safety, effectiveness or quality before they're sold, and they are not the same as Wegovy or Zepbound. Formulas can differ from one pharmacy to the next, and some add ingredients such as vitamin B12. Compounding pharmacies are licensed and inspected by state boards of pharmacy; outsourcing facilities (503B) also register with the FDA and are inspected by it. The FDA can issue warning letters when either breaks rules on safety or sterility.
How to cancel GobyMeds
There is no subscription to cancel: GobyMeds says it does not offer "subscriptions, memberships, automatically recurring billing, or automatic renewals." To stop an order you have placed, email customersupport@gobymeds.com.
The refund depends on how far the order has gone:
- Before the clinical review: a full refund.
- If the provider does not prescribe: a full refund, with no consultation fee.
- If you cancel after the review: GobyMeds may keep a $50 consultation fee.
- Once the pharmacy has dispensed or shipped it: the medication "generally cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged, or refunded."
A 3-month supply ships at once and is paid in full. Only choose it if you expect to stay at that dose range for three months. If you have side effects, talk to your provider.
The terms send disputes to individual arbitration and waive class actions. You can opt out within 30 days of first accepting them, by emailing legal@gobymeds.com with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out".
What customers say about GobyMeds
GobyMeds has a 4.5 TrustScore on Trustpilot from about 1,260 reviews, and 83% of them are five stars. Trustpilot notes that the company asks customers for reviews. The good reviews praise fast, cold-packed delivery, easy ordering and the price.
The one-star reviews are 6% of the total. The recent ones repeat four complaints: medication arriving warm, a change of concentration or dose without notice, vials that looked short, and refunds refused. Some reviewers also say there is no phone line. GobyMeds replies to every negative review, usually by asking the customer to write through the patient portal.
We found no Better Business Bureau profile for GobyMeds. On Reddit, a thread in r/Semaglutide titled "Verifiable Results From Goby? Your Experience?" shows up in searches for GobyMeds reviews; we could not open Reddit, so we don't summarize the replies. The patient stories on GobyMeds' pages are marketing, not results you can expect. This site collects no independent reviews of its own yet.
How we scored GobyMeds
Our score combines seven checks. Each one counts for a fixed share of the total, listed below. Commission is not an input.
- Price transparency: 10/10 (counts for 20% of the total score). Every plan, dose tier and fee is on the product pages. Note that the pricing page still prints discount prices for a code that ended in December 2025, some of them above the plan price, and the "from $99" headline is a low-dose 3-month supply.
- Cost and value: 7/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). We compare month-to-month prices: $169 for semaglutide ranks 7 of 18 programs that sell both compounded and brand-name drugs, against a median of $199.50.
- Medication and pharmacy traceability: 9/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). Four pharmacies named and their type stated as 503A or 503B, but none is in the FDA's outsourcing register under that name, and no address is given.
- Clinical access and oversight: 8.6/10 (counts for 15% of the total score). Named medical groups, a stated review time and included follow-up, but no lab policy for the GLP-1s.
- Safety and enforcement: 8.8/10 (counts for 20% of the total score). No FDA warning letter on file. The site shows a LegitScript seal that we could not confirm with LegitScript.
- Terms, commitment and refunds: 10/10 (counts for 10% of the total score). No subscription, no minimum term and a stated refund rule.
- Availability and fulfillment: 8.3/10 (counts for 5% of the total score). Free cold-chain shipping, but no list of the states it serves.
This is the first score for GobyMeds. Confidence is high: our October 24 re-read found the same price on all 14 plans we track. No check carries an editor's adjustment. The method is on our methodology page.

It depends on the drug and the dose, and the compounded versions GobyMeds prescribes were not tested in the trials behind Wegovy and Zepbound; their efficacy is largely unknown.12 For the FDA-approved drugs, the Wegovy dose rises over 16 weeks to 2.4 mg, and adults on 2.4 mg lost an average of 14.9% of body weight by week 68, against 2.4% on placebo.14 In SURMOUNT-1, adults on Zepbound 15 mg lost 20.9% at week 72, against 3.1% on placebo.15 Our guides to how long Wegovy takes to work and how long Zepbound takes to work go further.
The side effects are those of semaglutide and tirzepatide, and the most common are in the stomach. On Wegovy 2.4 mg, 44% of adults in the trials had nausea, against 16% on placebo.14 In Zepbound's pooled trials, 56% of people on each dose had a gastrointestinal side effect, against 30% on placebo, mostly while the dose was being raised.15 Both labels carry a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumors seen in rodents, and warnings for pancreatitis and gallbladder disease.1415 Compounded versions can add ingredients such as vitamin B12, and their safety is largely unknown.12 If you have side effects, talk to your provider; GobyMeds' plans include follow-ups.1
No telehealth program is FDA approved; the FDA approves medications. GobyMeds' compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved.1 The Zepbound and Wegovy it sells are.11 See the safety section.
